How does CareTag work?

CareTag uses NFC technology (just like contactless payments). When someone taps the bracelet or wallet card with a smartphone, it opens a secure profile containing your loved one’s medical info, allergies, emergency contacts, and more. No app or login needed.

What if the person isn’t wearing the bracelet?

That’s exactly why we include a wallet card too. If the bracelet isn’t worn - for example, during sleep, school, or sensory discomfort - the NFC card can be kept in a wallet, purse, or bag as a reliable backup.

Is the profile secure and private?

Yes. Each profile is hosted on an encrypted, GDPR-compliant platform. It can only be accessed through a unique, unindexed private link. You control what info is shared, and can request to edit or delete the profile at any time.

Who should use CareTag?

CareTag is ideal for:

What information is shown on the profile?

You choose what to share. This can include:

- Special notes (e.g. non-verbal, carries EpiPen, likes to connect in an emergency situation e.g favourite football team)

What is the bracelet made from, and will it fit?

The CareTag bracelet is made from soft, medical-grade silicone that’s latex-free and hypoallergenic. It’s adjustable to fit most wrists – from older children to adults – using a watch-style strap. The band is water-resistant, so it’s fine for everyday hand-washing and rain. We just recommend taking it off for long hot baths, saunas, or chlorinated pools to keep it in the best condition.

Who sets up the emergency profile?

After you place your order, you'll receive a secure link to a simple online form. You (or a parent/guardian for a child) add the key medical details and emergency contacts, then we link that profile to your bracelet and wallet card. You can edit or update the information at any time by contacting us.

What happens after 5 years? Do I have to pay again?

No ongoing subscriptions and no surprise charges. Your one-off payment includes 5 years of secure profile access. Near the end of 5 years we’ll email you with clear options to either extend your profile or have all data securely deleted in line with UK GDPR. If you don’t choose to renew or don't reply, your profile and data are removed.

Before your kit is posted, you (or a parent/carer) fill in a short form with essential emergency details. Only vital info is shown when the tag is scanned. Everything is encrypted, GDPR-compliant, and fully under your control. You can update or delete the profile any time.

Your kit includes an NFC wristband and wallet card.
Wear the bracelet or keep the card in a purse, wallet, or school bag, whichever works best. Both items link to the same secure profile, giving two ways for responders to access critical info.
